Magomed Magomedov gets a main event in his ONE debut. The Dagestani is 15-0 and has finished each of his last five opponents. His opponent, 26-year-old Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Lucas Gabriel, is unbeaten in six ONE appearances. That run includes a submission of Gadzhimurad Amirzhanov and a June win at ONE Fight Night 44 over former lightweight MMA titleholder Ok Rae Yoon.
The stakes are high for Gabriel. According to BJPenn.com, a win could put him next in line for the ONE Lightweight MMA World Title, which will be on the line just hours earlier on the same day.
Both replacement bouts lower on the card are rematches. Kongthoranee Sor Sommai already beat Taiki Naito by decision under Muay Thai rules. The 29-year-old Thai beat Yuan Pengjie in his kickboxing debut last month, while the 30-year-old Naito is on a three-fight winning streak. Nontachai Jitmuangnon, 27, beat former ONE World Title challenger Felipe Lobo, 33, by unanimous decision in May.
